Design Diary

TO THINK ABOUT...

When collaboratively researching it’s important to make sure you record all your information, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do.

  • Who will do what jobs in your group?
  • Assign roles to each group member.
  • Remember you must document evidence throughout the week in order to present at your booth on Friday for evaluation.

RESEARCHING AND PRESENTING

  • Answers to each research question bullet pointed in your own words.
  • Proper citations for all information found.
  • Your own research question.
  • Evidence of the collaborative process (photos, videos, notes, schedules, plans, etc).

DESIGNING AND BUILDING

  • Sketches, photos and a written reflection should accompany each design cycle.
  • Final design should include photos, a written reflection, PLUS a final rendering of the rocket.
  • The rendering should include two drawings: an isometric view and a three-view drawing that includes the dimensions of the plane in metric units.
