The events organised exhibit our rural Punjab in its truest form through its customs, traditions, language, people and their lands. We try to instigate the spirit of Punjab, that is seen losing its valour, in the form of talks, skits, fairs, and fests. To channelize our youth back to its roots, we encourage them to be a part of our Virsa.
VIRSA Talks
Experiences speak and so do the Eminent Personalities who grace this Event and offer an insight into their lives. The purpose of conducting this Talk Show is to advice Students to Welcome their forthcomings and Provide them with Motivation and a Positive Approach.
Chabeel
To quench the Thirst that exists given the Scorching Heat, Chabeel is organised. Free sweet, cool, non-alcoholic drinks are offered by remembering the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, instead of mourning, the Guru taught the Sikhs to accept God’s will as sweet. And aimed at raising people's spirits and instilling a feeling of eternal optimism.
Heritage Trip
To explore the places, artifacts and activities that authentically represents the past and present, we plan tours to places of Historical Importance. The Last Visit was to the Holy Golden City of Amritsar.
Shaam-e-Virasat
Offers you an extensive array of events that include the Traditional Giddha with Folk and Soulful Singing that mesmerizes the Onlookers. This, in turn, augments the perspective in terms of our tradition.
Mela
To uphold what VIRSA stands for, this Carnival is tentatively planned to divulge you in ecstasy and brighten the festive mood. From gallantly giving you a Village Sight to the Light of Lamps on Festivals, this Mela accurately depicts the Best of all Worlds.
Gurupurab
To graciously give you a Glimpse of the Legacy we faithfully represent, the Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is Celebrated. This holy event is marked by Katha and Kirtan in the divine presence of the sacred Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Blessed by the benevolence, this auspicious ceremony marks the Zest in our Spirits.
