Thapar ACM Student Chapter in Collaboration with Coding Blocks organised an online workshop on Node JS with YouTube as the Platform Partner. A massive audience of 258 students attended the workshop and also they appreciated the efforts we are doing in lockdown towards organising insightful workshops.

Thapar ACM Student Chapter in Collaboration with Coding Blocks organised an online workshop on dynamic programming. Even in the lockdown Thapar ACM Student Chapter is doing continuous efforts to organise productive events and workshops for the students and working with the same enthusiastic spirit as it does in college.



TECH TALK ON HEALTHCARE INFORMATICS

Dr. Conrad Attard (Deputy Dean, University of Malta) and Dr. Lalit Garg (Professor, University of Malta) were the distinguished speaker for the tech talk organised by Thapar ACM Student Chapter on 24th February. They discussed about how technology can be beneficial and effective in healthcare in detail with the audience


CODE CONQUISTADORS

Timing : 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Venue : CS Labs

Code Conquistadors was an inter-society coding competition organised by Thapar ACM Student Chapter. It comprised of two rounds first being an elimination round based on simple computing queries and code output questions followed by a second round of competitive coding based on ICPC format. We received an enthusiastic response from the students from every society including the non-technical society as well. Total turn up was 83 from which 20 students qualified for the final round.

HACKTOBER:

Timing : 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

A workshop has been organized on 19/10/2019 on open source named as Hacktober. Students were taught how to use GitHub and how to pull requests on the repositories. Total 32 students participated in this event.

CODE2DUO:

Thapar ACM-Student Chapter organized Code2Duo on 16/11/2019. It comprised of two rounds. The first round was Capture the Flag where the contestants looked for flags and the teams that obtained the flag the fastest qualified for the next round which was of competitive programming. The second round consisted of four mind-boggling questions that tested the participant’s logical and analytical ability. With a footfall of over 100 candidates, 57 participants actively participated in the event. This event was a grand success for the ACM Student Chapter.


WORKSHOP ON MASTERING UML (UNIFIED MODELLING LANGUAGE)

A 03-day workshop on Unified Modelling Language has been organized on 14-16 April 2018. In this workshop participants were taught on the various concepts of UML theoretically as well practically. In total 33 participants participated in this event.


WORKSHOP ON MACHINE LEARNING AND IOT AT SCALE WITH GOOGLE CLOUD:

The ACM Chapter TIET conducted a one-day workshop on April, 22, 2018 on “Machine Learning and IOT at scale with Google Cloud”. The workshop was cosponsored by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, TIET and Data Science Delhi.
