Parachuting is an extreme sport considering the risks involved with it and even after being performed by experts, leads to injuries ranging from contusions and sprain to fractures and Deaths (in case of parachute opening failure, 0.25/1000 in no’s).
Skydiving also called parachuting is jumping from an aircraft and safely returning to the ground with the help of the parachute. Skydiving is an extremely popular adventure activity. Each year millions of people skydive all over the world enjoy the thrill of skydiving.
Beside training and assisted skydives the modern parachutes has safety equipment. To begin with all skydivers carry a reserve parachute, which is checked and packed by a certified parachute rigger. Out of 3 million skydives jumps an average of 35 accidents happen. Most of these fatalities take place because of human error and some due to equipment failure like parachute not opening, parachute torn, canopy collapsing, etc.
Parachuting/Skydiving is an extreme sport considering the risks it comes with and even after being performed by experts, leads to injuries ranging from contusions and sprain to fractures and deaths
Even after following the training protocols and safety measures, injuries happens while landing. The reason from varying from weather conditions to improper training for prevention of these injuries no such equipment exists which may facilitate safer landing even in adverse conditions.
