In a nutshell: Sixth grade Latin (Exploratory Latin) introduces students to the Latin language as well as Roman civilization. Students will gain proficiency in language study as they master the rigors of Latin pronunciation, grammar, and translation.

Textbook: We use Ecce Romani I as our primary text, with some supplementing texts to introduce students to authentic Latin.

Homework/assessment days: When assigned, Latin homework is on Wednesday nights; assessments (quizzes, tests, and project due dates) take place on Thursdays and are always announced well in advance.

Quizlet: Vocabulary is a very important part of Latin. Below is a link to my classroom Quizlet, an app that specializes in electronic flashcards and fun review games. Quizlet is optional, but can make a world of difference in students' mastery of vocabulary.
