This year the Art Development Programme provided enthusiastic and talented Year 10 visual arts students with an introduction to the theoretical aspect of art study. The programme deepened their understanding of how and why artworks are created. Students analysed artworks using specialist art terminology.
The aim of the programme is to prepare students for higher achievement outcomes in their NCEA Visual Arts at higher levels.

Art -Lab's aim is to use 3D printing and other innovation technologies as the main media. This could be 3D printing, laser cutting, animation and projection or augmented reality. Art-Lab introduces students to the potential of applying new technologies to solving creative problems, and develop skills that can be utilised later in real world environments. Art-Lab students will acquire alternative and innovative creative skills not always available in the average classroom.
To enquire about Art-Lab see Mr Kydd in the Art office.
