Our idea developed when we were brainstorming problems so we could make a product to solve these problems. We were trying to think of problems that can benefit the environment, and we thought of a genius solution to a big problem - normal surf wax isn’t reef safe surf wax. We chose this idea because we would be able to make a new wax to help prevent the coral reefs from dying due to the normal surf wax being toxic to the reefs. We wanted to make a difference to our beach and ocean environment, because we enjoy it so much, and if we keep destroying it we may no longer be able to do so. We had some other ideas, such as not having sustainable and good for the environment bags, and having too much packaging on products, but we decided to stick with our environmentally friendly wax because it is not widely available in New Zealand, and it would be something useful for many people to use and therefore keep their oceans safe. Our wax is made with beeswax and coconut oil - that's it! We hope you can help us on our journey of our reef safe surf wax!

FUNKY PAPER

We want to offer funky looking piece paper in lots of different colours, and an alternative to plain our white paper that is just thrown out after one use. This paper will be recycled from news newspapers and made into new paper. We’re selling the papers in two different sizes.

A4 and A3, the A4 price is $50c per paper and the A3 price is $1 per paper.

These stickers are made to help spread awareness for the environment as well as the animals that are in danger or being harmed by environmental destruction.

We are going to be selling our stickers for a gold coin donation in which 50% of the profit we make is going to go towards the EERST organisation which supports environmental welfare.

We will be holding a balloon dart carnival game at market day. There will be a board that has balloons attached to it. Inside the balloons there will be small pieces of paper with a number on it such as 30, 40, 50 etc. If after all your turns you have 50-90 points you will earn a small prize. Small prizes will include things like nail polish, lip balm and small items. If you get 100-140 points you will get a medium prize. Medium prizes will include larger items like face masks, jewellery and phone cases. There is only ONE large prize for one person who gets over 150 points. There is only one large prize which is yet to be decided.

For 4 turns it is $2. If this doesn’t go well we might possibly add in the cheaper option of $1 for 3 throws.

The product we have created is slime and stress balls, We are called stress less.

Our slimes will range from 150ml-250ml in pastel colours and the price for the slimes will be $2 and $3!

Our stress balls will be sold at a price of $2 in various balloon colours.
