Rubric for Code Lessons

Here you will find all the information you will need to be successful with your first assignment. Be sure you add Key terms and new code along with lesson helps and instructions to your page. As the assignments progress you will be in charge of defining more and more of the terms and code on your own. HTML - HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, is a markup language used to describe the structure of a web page. It uses a special syntax or notation to organize and give information about the page to the browser. (freeCodeCamp)
Syntax - In code, syntax refers to the rules that specify the correct combined sequence of symbols that can be used to form a correctly structured program using a given programming language. Programmers communicate with computers through the correctly structured syntax, semantics, and grammar of a programming language. (Techopedia)
Hosting - is a service through which storage and computing resources are provided to an individual or organization Techopedia
FTP - File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a client/server protocol used for transferring files to or exchanging files with a host computer. Techopedia

<!DOCTYPE html> The <!DOCTYPE html> declaration must be the very first thing in your HTML document, before the <html> tag. The <!DOCTYPE> declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of HTML the page is written in. W3C <html> The <html> tag tells the browser that this is an HTML document. The <html> tag represents the root of an HTML document. The <html> tag is a container for all other HTML elements. W3C <head> The <head> element is a container for all the head elements.The <head> element can include a title for the document, scripts, styles, meta information, and more.
<title> The <title> tag is required in all HTML documents and it defines the title of the document. W3C  Comments are not displayed by the browser, but they can help document your HTML source code. Comments also are great for debugging HTML, because you can comment out HTML lines of code, one at a time, to search for errors (W3C Schools)
<p> defines a paragraph W3C <h1> - <h6> The <h1> to <h6> tags are used to define HTML headings. <h1> defines the most important heading, or the largest text <h6> defines the least important heading, or the smallest text. W3C
