Engineering and Earth Science Teacher

Amanda Moore was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on July 19th, 1977. She graduated from Camas County High School in Fairfield, Idaho in 1995 and from Montana Tech of the University of Montana with an Associate of Science : Engineering in May 1997. She attended Idaho State University to complete her Bachelor of Arts : Secondary Education with endorsements in Earth Science and Biological Sciences. She has also acquired certifications in Standard Exceptional Child Generalist K/12, and Standard Elementary K/8. After completing her education, she took a position teaching at O'Leary Middle School as a special education teacher teaching resource science. During her eight years of teaching she worked to establish a safe learning environment for all students, created strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, organized instruction materials and lab materials for students. In addition she completed and prepared documentation and reports for student Individual Education Plans (IEP's) for meetings, distribution, and filing.
Amanda has been in her current position at Twin Falls High School since August of 2018. Along with teaching Robotics, Engineering, and Earth Science she is involved in extracurricular activities. She is the coach of the Bionic Bruins Robotics team, the assistant coach for the TFHS Esports teams, and one of the advisors for the Jewelry Club. When Amanda is not at school she enjoys reading a good mystery or thriller, walking/hiking with her husband, and being grandma to her granddaughter. She loves taking trips with her husband to see the world, collect amazing rocks/minerals, and go on adventures.
