Reading together at home is one of the most meaningful ways you can support your child’s learning and growth. Even just 10–15 minutes a day can make a lasting difference!
When you read with your child, you are helping build vocabulary, strengthen listening and comprehension skills, develop imagination, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Just as importantly, reading together creates a special opportunity to slow down, connect, and enjoy time with one another.
Reading together can include books that your child may not yet be able to read independently. Read aloud, take turns reading, talk about the pictures, ask questions, and let your child choose stories that spark your child’s interest. The goal is to make reading a positive and enjoyable part of everyday life.
Every story, every conversation, and every shared page helps your child grow into a confident reader!
