My name is Angelina LaMura. I am the Child Study Team School Psychologist in the Swimming River School. Since high school, I have always wanted to work with children and am lucky to be in this field.
Last year, I was out on leave bonding with my energetic and sassy daughter. In addition to our 1-year-old daughter, my husband and I have a beautiful 2-year-old German Shephard! I am a big family person, love animals, and enjoy a variety of outside activities. I am very excited to start working with all of my students and families!
I started my path in the field of psychology during my Undergraduate time at West Chester University in Pennsylvania where I was a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I then went on to attend Kean University for my Graduate studies where I received my training in School Psychology by earning my Masters in Educational Psychology and Professional Diploma in School Psychology. I also received my National Certification in School Psychology upon completion of my masters program. Finally, I completed post-certification courses at Saint Joseph's University in Behavior Analysis and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in September of 2021.
I am currently going into my 8th year in education as a School Psychologist for the Child Study Team. Prior to starting in the school setting under my current role, I was a substitute teacher within a Kindergarten through Eighth grade school district while I was still completing my undergraduate studies. Separately, I have also worked as an applied behavior analysis therapist in homes privately for nine years, however I have since then transitioned to a Board Certified Behavior Analysist for these families.
