Language Arts

The English Language Arts ASP program uses various intensive reading intervention programs. A reading intervention program is one that prevents or stops reading failure. These programs offer struggling students a safe place to learn- a place where they can gain confidence and succeed. They are designed to accelerate reading through sustained instruction, intensive language and concept development and critical comprehension skills and strategies.

The Project Read and Project Read® Linguistics curriculums are accelerated phonics programs tailored for grades K-adult learners. This multisensory curriculum builds upon prior knowledge through a sound/symbol organization chart that displays the 44 speech sounds and their alternative spellings.
