• Math page- optional

• Reading/Writing/Spelling worksheet- most nights

These assignments will include various skills from our classwork. 

Word work - Students will receive a “Word Work” list of words each week. This list will include words with the phonemic element that we are studying. For example, it might be words with the long i sound spelled as “ie”. The list will also include some “Red” words which are words that do not fit the spelling pattern. Your child should practice how to read and spell these words. There will be assessments given on words with the phonic element as well as the Red words.

Homework should not be a stressful time of day for your child. While we don't want the children to give up, homework should not take longer than 30 minutes.**
