Here's what we've been working on in the lab:
Before Winter Break, the kindergartners were working on finding the letters of the alphabet on the keyboard. They played with Keyboarding Zoo and did a practice page in Microsoft Word. Now we are starting to experiment with Ozobot robots and will soon learn how to program them!
The first-grade classes have been working on a cross-curricular project in which they are creating PowerPoint slides. These slides will be used to make an ABC book for their classroom library. Look for your child's page/pages to come home soon. This project also allows for the children to present their work and to instruct their classmates on how to make their chosen letter in American Sign Language!
Second graders have been finishing up their projects on communities and are now beginning a unit on programming Ozobot robots using color codes. They will be working in small groups with their robots to create workable programs to complete a task.
