In this lesson, you will create a slide to visually introduce yourself to your class.

Brain Storm

Think of five images and/or words to add to your slide.

These images and/or words should be things that represent you.

Think of things you like to play, eat, read or learn about. Also, think about things that make your who you are. Some things maybe the same as other people and other things may be something that is just about you.

Step 1:

Go to Google Classroom, Classwork, and open the assignment, Google Slides: Introduce Yourself.
Click and open the template slide. You will create your slide here.

Step 2:

Choose a Background

Add an image.mp4

Step 3:

Add images that represent you to your slide.

You brainstormed 5 things about yourself that you would like to share with your class and teacher.

Click the Add Image icon.
Click Search the Web.
Type a key word.
Click the word for the image you want.
Double click the picture to add to your slide.
Click and drag the image to where you would like it to be on your slide.
Use the corner boxes to resize the image.

Step 4:

After you have added five items about yourself to the slide, you need to add your slide to the class presentation.

Follow these steps to add your slide to the class presentation:

Click the word file on the top left.
Click Import Slides.
Click Introduce Yourself slide that you created.
Click Select.
Click the slide to be imported.
Import slides.

Add a Background.

First, you need to delete the title text box and the sub title text box.

Click on a text box. Press the backspace key.
Repeat to delete the remaining text box.

Next, add your background.

Click Slide.
Click Change background.
Click Color.
Select the color you would like for your background.
Click Done.
