Procedure for obtaining a film permit to shoot international films in national parks

Step 1 Submitting documents, the applicants prepares supporting documents for the permission request.

Step 2. Checking Documents The staff checks the completeness and correctness of the documents.

Step 3 Consideration procedures. The filming must contain no content and format that are contrary to the National Park Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and must not damage natural resources and the environment as well as not contrary to good morals.

Step 4: Approval, Sign, the committee's resolution The Director or the person assigned by the Director shall consider and approve.

Step 5 Notification of the result of consideration, Report the result of the consideration to the Department of Tourism, and the licensee to pay the specified fee before filming in the national park 


Documents to apply for permission

1. A film permit to shoot international film in Thailand issued by the Department of Tourism.

2. A letter to the Director General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (which must specify details such as filming area, national park name, shooting date)

3. Thai language script or storyline, only the part that will be filmed within the national park.

4. Documentation evidence of the applicant such as a copy of the ID card, etc.

5. Company registration certificate along with a copy of the identification card of the authorized person. In the case of acting on behalf of others, the attachment of the power of attorney, a copy of the attorney's identity card, the attorney's identity card are required.

6. In the case of bringing animals into the filming, there must have the animal photos animal health certificate and animal portrait tickets are required.

7. In the event that a scene is created, the creation plan and a letter of guarantee for damages in the amount of 2,000,000 baht are required.

8. In the case of using drones for filming, the attachment of the letter of registration of the commander or launcher of the aircraft are also required. .
