Welcome to our TFFC/TNCRN account set up page. Our leadership team is excited to take this next step in our organization. Our Google Workspace provides not only organizational email addresses, but also access to team resources like, calendar, chat, meet and so much more. As a member of either TFFC or TNCRN, you have full access to the tools provided within Google Workspace.
All team members have access to either a TFFC or TNCRN email address that gets you access to team resources. If you are a member of TFFC (TN Federation of Fire Chaplains) your email address is your first.lastname@tffc.org. For example, my email address is adam.linsenbigler@tffc.org. If you are a member of TNCRN (TN Crisis Response Network) your email address is your first and last name also. For example, john.doe@tncrn.org. *Note: There is a period between your first and last name. If you are in both teams, you will use your TFFC email address.
We used the first and last name on record. If you have a preferred goes by name or go by your middle name, please email so we can update your account.
How do I access my account? Great question, all it takes is a password reset. That can be done a few ways. If you are more tech savvy, go to account.google.com, enter your team email address (firstname.lastname@tffc.org), click "Next" and on the next page, click "Forgot password?" *You may have to click "Try another way." You are looking for a recovery email screen. Your temporary password will be sent to the backup email we have on file (check junk mail). If you don't have access to that email account OR the reset email doesn't arrive, you can schedule a time to connect with me to set up your account.
When you first log in, you will find a few additional steps. You will need to acknowledge that your account is managed by TFFC.
You will then be asked to set up two-factor authentication (2FA). This step is crucial to the security of our organization and data. You can choose to use a phone for 2FA, or device specific protocols (biometrics or pin). Again if you have questions, please connect with me.
It keeps logging me into my other Google account. This can be frustrating. An easy way to manage this is to use Google Chrome as your web browser. Once logged in, Chrome creates a different profile for each of your Google accounts. I have 6, I regularly access, so I understand the potential for frustration. When using the mobile apps (Google Chat, Meet, etc.) it has a native way to switch accounts. If you need some help, schedule a time to connect with me.
Now what? Once you have accessed your account, it's time to get set up on our website for more team content which we will cover in the next section. Right now, I would encourage you to download all the Google apps to your mobile device and sign in using your team credentials. Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Calendar and Google Mail.
Make sure you login with your new team email address.

Now that you have access to your team email address you are one step closer to accessing our new team website. This site will continue to develop with the needs of our team. For the security of our team resources, the website has permissions that are tied to your TFFC/TNCRN email address. This requires two steps.
Go to tffc.org and click "Log In"
Select "Log in with Google"
This is where you may hit a snag if you are logged into your web browser with a different Google Account. If you are using Chrome as your web browser, make sure you are using the correct profile. If you are using a different browser, ensure you only have one internet screen open and that you are signed in to your Google Account, before doing the above steps.
Once you sign in with your TFFC credentials. You are done, you rock! Now, I have to do some security work on the backend. You will receive an email to your team email address once your account is set up. If you don't hear from me within 24 hours, please email me.
If you'd like to walk through these steps with me, you can schedule a time to connect with me.
Thank you for serving our first responders and community members everyday!
