The Texhoma speech and debate team had an outstanding first year with Lindsay Skelton as their head coach — 4 out of 7 team members advancing to finals at the Oklahoma OSSAA State Championship Tournament. The state finalist team included Tate Skelton, Zane Bonilla, Grayson McGlasson, and Luke McDaniel. 

Their individual results were as follows:

7th - HI

5th - HD

Zane Bonilla - Senior

5th - HD

8th - Monologue

Grayson McGlasson - Senior

1st - HI

2nd - Poetry

2nd - Mono

Luke McDaniel - Freshman

6th - HI

6th - PROSE

Additionally, Tate Skelton and Zane Bonilla qualified for the NSDA National Tournament in DUO! Under Lindsay Skelton's leadership, the team brought home the 3A regional championship title and placed 4th overall at the OSSAA State Tournament.
