๐—•๐—จ๐—ง๐—จ๐—”๐—ก ๐—–๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฌ, ๐——๐—˜๐—–๐—˜๐— ๐—•๐—˜๐—ฅ ๐Ÿฎ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ โ€“ To strengthen the implementation of the amended Basic Competencies Integrated with 21st Century Skills in all TVIs in Caraga Region, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Caraga holds the Regional TVET Virtual Conference. It was attended by all TVIs and TTIs across Caraga.

As we are shifting to the โ€œnew normalโ€ living in a complex and rapidly changing world, TESDA continues to pursue its mandate in the development of a competent and skilled workforce through the delivery of immediate and appropriate Technical Vocational Education and Training. One of the basic output of the conduct of TVET Virtual Conference is the enhanced CBC that will incorporate the amended basic competencies integrated with 21st century skills.

As immediate response of the agency, Provincial Director of Agusan del Sur - Dir. Lorenzo Emanuel L. Guillermo, the resource speaker of the conference underscored that TESDA Caraga is recharting its directions in delivering competency-based trainings to ensure that technology trainers achieve the intended learning outcomes in the context of a disruptive, volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, and diverse environment.

To assure continuity of the agencyโ€™s mandate and achievement of targets amid the present crisis, Flexible Learning Delivery was discussed by Ms. Marivel L. Padino, Sr. TESD Specialist and Regional UTPRAS Focal. Ms. Padino also presented the Program Registration Updates as reference to all TVIs.

As a way forward after enhancing the CBCs for various TVET Qualifications, TVIs shall be provided technical assistance in developing the Curriculum Map that will show the constructive alignment of the basic, common, and core competencies covered in a TVET Qualification. The Curriculum Map shall serve as a guide in the constructive alignment of the learning outcomes, the training activities, and the institutional assessment of a particular TVET Qualification.

Indeed, the โ€œ21st Century Mindset is not what one knows. It is what one can do with what one knows that can lead to better lives,โ€ PD Guillermo added.
