In line with the implementation of the Pilot Launch for Identified Priority Barangays as one of the directives of Sec. Isidro S. Lapeรฑa in support to the Executive Order No. 70 โInstitutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace, creating a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict,โ Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as Chair of the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) together with other member agencies successfully conducted the Launching of San Antonio Agri-Tourism Enterprise Village on October 29, 2020 at Tagnote Falls, Brgy. San Antonio, R.T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte.
The launching activity was grace by no less than Hon. Dale B. Corvera, Provincial Governor of Agusan del Norte, Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba, Congresswoman, 2nd District of Agusan del Norte and TESDA Regional Director Ashary A. Banto as chair of PRLEC with the unwavering support of the Provincial Director of TESDA Agusan del Norte, Dir. Rey M. Cueva. The success of the program was a consolidated effort and partnership of TESDA with the Local Government Unit of RTR through the leadership of their Municipal Mayor, Hon. Richard P. Daquipil, Provincial Government and Second Congressional District of Agusan del Norte. Present also were officials and representatives from the Provincial Government, Local Government Units, House of Representatives, NCIP, DOT, PCA, AFP, PNP, Provincial Tourism-ADN, PSWD, DILG, LTFRB, DTI, PENRO, DAR, LBP, CDA, BFAR, DOLE, Provincial Agriculturists Office-ADN, NMSF and Provincial Training Center, ADN.
RD Banto underscored during the launching the agenda behind the EO70, the creation of the task force to combat the local communist armed conflict is to strengthen and streamline government capacity to deliver basic services, livelihood and poverty alleviation, infrastructure and resource management. According to him, these are sustainable government actions and solutions towards solving local communist conflicts.
โIn addressing poverty, peace and order concerns, through PRLEC, we have the gateway of training, employment and livelihood provisions to have food production and food sustainability in all of our developmental projects. We cannot provide employment at any level if we cannot capacitate our people through relevant skills training,โ RD Banto added.
The respective agencies also presented to the community their Program Offerings, Agripreneur Trainings and their other commitments. On the other hand, TESDA Caraga awarded the Scholarship Grants for Fishery and Agriculture Sector for Brgy. San Antonio, RTR.
Indeed, the convergence of the difference agencies truly creates a positive impact to community and it lightens the heavy task of the government in addressing the needs of people in the conflict areas in the country.
TESDA Caraga will continue to serve the community, which directly influences the lives of the people and the relevance of the training with the aide given to the community, which paved the way for a productive life in the future to come.
