As we are shifting to the βnew normalβ amid the on-going threat brought by COVID-19, TESDA Caraga ensures that its workforce, partner TVIs/ TTIs, stakeholders and even the assessment centers will be living, working and operating with the COVID-19 environment during the implementation of its objectives providing support to communities to build their capacities in preventing further transmission of the virus and in order to maintain economic stability in the region.
For TESDA where Assessment and Accreditation is its major mandate, Regional Director Ashary A. Banto of TESDA Caraga and Provincial Director of Surigao del Sur β Julius Sol O. Jamero together with the inspection team of TESDA Caraga Regional Office and Provincial Office of Surigao del Sur conducted an on-site monitoring and inspection to some Accredited Competency Assessment Centers in the province of Surigao del Sur, 2nd District last November 12, 2020.
Four (4) Assessment Centers in the 2nd District of Surigao del Sur were inspected namely: GREAT Center, Inc. for their RAC Servicing (DomRAC) NC II and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW NC II), De La Salle John Bosco College, Inc. wherein 10 qualifications were inspected: EIM NC II, FBS NC II, SMAW NC I/II, Automotive Servicing NC I, Bookkeeping NC III, CSS NC II, Dressmaking NC II and Driving NC II. The agency believes that the major factor to quality is to assure and maintain the integrity of our assessment centers based on the standards and operating procedures. The integrity of the National Certificates depends on the integrity of the process, as much as the facilities where assessment is conducted.
TESDA Caraga will continue to serve the community through quality TVET trainings amid the threat brought by COVID-19.
