PTC-SDN HOLDS GRADUATION CEREMONY AND TOOLKITS DISTRIBUTION AT PCTC, BAD-AS, PLACER, SDN

The Provincial Training Center of Surigao del Norte (PTC-SDN) under the leadership of Center Administrator, Engr. Edwin C. Lanquino, organized a Graduation Ceremony and Toolkits Distribution at the Provincial Community Training Center (PCTC) in Bad-as, Placer, Surigao del Norte on June 14, 2023. 

The event was attended by TESDA Caraga Regional Director, Jerry G. Tizon, J.D., TESDA Surigao Del Norte Provincial Director Catalina O. Tacubao, Acting College Administrator of Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT), Dir. Abegail B. Eupeña, Rep. Liza Monteros, Executive Assistant of the 1st District Congressional Office, Atty. Oscar M. Pospia, Jr., Brigade Gen George Banzon, Brigade Commander of 901st Brigade, LtCol. Jerald Jale, Commanding Officer of 30IB, CG CDR John Alfwell B. Saraenas, Acting Deputy Commander Coast Guard District of North Eastern Mindanao, and representatives from identified industry partners. 

A total of 116 students successfully completed the training in various qualifications, including: 

Moreover, graduates from SNCAT in Carpentry NC II totaling to 23, and Cookery NC II totaling to 45 were provided with toolkits to support their future endeavors. 

RD Jerry G. Tizon motivated the graduates by advising them, “Do not settle for less. Open your eyes to local business opportunities and be the right worker for the job”. This commencement marks not the end, but rather the commencement of a journey filled with opportunities in the global workforce. 

Lastly, Coast Guard Ensign Ronniel B. Baguio, a graduate of EPAS NC II, highlighted the practical experience gained from the program, stating, "The hands-on experience we received in this program allowed us to develop a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in assembling servicing electronics products”. He further asserted that the knowledge and skills acquired are invaluable both personally and professionally.
