Narito and pahayag ng pamunuan ng TESDA kaugnay sa pansamantalang pagkakaantala sa pagbili at pamamahagi ng toolkits para sa scholars ng 2018 Training for Employment Program (STEP).
In compliance to the Executive Order Number 70, TESDA CARAGA Regional Director, Ashary A. Banto and TESDA Surigao del Norte Provincial Director, Braulio P. dela Peña attended the the “Grand Pulong-pulong” as part of the Community Support Program (CSP) of the 30th Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army. The event was led by LTC Jeffrey A Villarosa INF (GSC) PA represented by 1LT Christian Elpedes in the barangays of Cantapoy and Masgad, Malimono, Surigao del Norte last August 8, 2019 and was attended by the Former Rebels and CPP-NPA-NDF supporters and other stakeholders.
During the activity, the resolution declaring the CPP-NPA-NDF as Persona Non Grata was read before the public and the Barangay Council expounded it to help the constituents understand the rationale behind the resolution. This is salso in compliance to Republic Act 10168 which is also known as “AN ACT DEFINING THE CRIME OF FINANCING OF TERRORISM, PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.” The said resolution was signed by the members of the barangay council and the residents of these barangays as a sign of pledge of loyalty and allegiance to the government.
TESDA CARAGA Regional Director, Ashary A. Banto strongly supports the activity and he also shared the government’s effort to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) in the country. He delivered a message of support to the people and how TESDA, as the lead agency in Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC), can help them in terms of skills training and livelihood program as an intervention to prevent them from joining the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).
TESDA Surigao del Norte Provincial Director, Braulio P. dela Peña advocated the TESDA programs and services in the province especially the scholarship programs the agency can offer to the residents of these barangays and the community-based trainings that the agency can conduct in their very own location.
Moreover, Abegail B. Eupeña, the College Administrator II of Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT), promoted the thirty (30) TESDA registered programs of the school especially in terms of Agricultural Crops Production, Animal Production, Automotive, Food Processing and more. She highlighted that they are always welcome to enroll in SNCAT.
The Provincial Training Center (PTC) Administrator, Engr. Edwin C. Lanquino also promoted the training offerings of the center which is ready to accommodate students in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, Electronics Product Assembly NC II, and Domestic Refrigeration and Airconditioning NC II.
The whole of nation approach according to EO 70 will ensure that the constituents within the area shall receive government projects and programs to prevent the former rebels from returning to the highlands and to prevent sympathizers of continued support to the leftist group.
March 8, 2019 - Division Project 3KM: Kaya Mo, Kaya Ko 4th Quarter Job and Trade Fair cum Festival of Talents with the theme: Bawat Bata'y May Kakayahan hosted by the Senior High School of Deped Surigao City Division held at Surigao City Auditorium, Borromeo Street, Surigao City.
The TESDA OIC-Provincial Director, Allan S. Millan, MAEd and TESDA PTC Administrator, Engr. Edwin C. Lanquino attended the event as a response to the invitation of DepEd. TESDA Surigao del Norte Provincial Office and TESDA Provincial Training Center (PTC) was able to set a Malasakit Help Desk so that the attendees can inquire about TESDA programs and services. TESDA PTC was also able to showcase CCTV tools and equipment and Fire Alarm System tools and equipment.
