Spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Governor, all government agencies in the entire province of Batanes were encouraged to participate in a provincewide inter-agency creek clearing and clean up activity on Thursday, 16 June 2022. This activity was triggered by the reported whopping increase, of 897%, of dengue cases in the Cagayan Valley Region compared to last year.

With the aim of maintaining a low-rate dengue cases in the province, the entire TESDA Batanes Family actively participated in this activity to search and destroy mosquito breeding places, particularly in creeks, sewerage, canals, and flood controls.

The agency, thru the able leadership of OIC Provincial Director Samuel C. Falcis, collected numerous sacks of both biodegradable and non-biodegradable trashes which were disposed off properly to designated areas.

Our big hearts anchored with our burning desire to maintain Batanes as a low-rate/dengue-free province is our strongest and most effective weapon to carry on with these kinds of noteworthy activities.
