On 24 February 2026, the Provincial Office facilitated the Community Training and Employment Coordinators’ (CTECs) Meeting. The meeting was held at 2:00 p.m. in the Housekeeping Room, BTSDC Building, San Antonio, Basco, Batanes.

It was attended by CTECs representing the six municipalities of Batanes as well as the provincial government. All municipal and provincial CTECs were present, namely:

·        Jerome Jay C. Cabugao – Provincial Government of Batanes

·        Darren Cervillon – MLGU Basco

·        Jeffrey España – MLGU Mahatao

·        Shirley Garlitos – MLGU Ivana

·        Hildret C. Anay – MLGU Uyugan

·        Yvonne Penelope C. Candel – MLGU Sabtang

·        Lourdes Ruschel M. Alcazar – MLGU Itbayat

Topics discussed durint the meeting were: (1) Proposed CTEC Congress and LGU Summit, (2) Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) of CTECs, (3) Scholarship Programs of TESDA for FY 2026, and (4) Validation of Competency Standards for Vakul Making Level II.

The meeting also served as a venue to strengthen coordination among the CTECs and to discuss updates and concerns related to the implementation of TESDA programs in the province.  The active participation of all representatives reflected their commitment to supporting skills development and employment initiatives in Batanes.

         With the constructive exchange of ideas and the shared commitment of all participants, the meeting concluded successfully at 12:40 p.m.
