Institution's Profile

The Provincial Training Center-Guinobatan (PTCG) is one of the TESDA Technology Institutions in the Province of Albay. It started its operation in the town proper for almost seven years. At present it is located in Barangay San Francisco, Guinobatan, Albay with an area of more than thousand square meters (1,000 sq.m) granted by LGU-Guinobatan through a Memorandum of Agreement for a right to usufruct.

The Center produces graduates who are easily absorbed for employment by the industries. The Center assures that graduates possessed the required competencies expected in the job market.

The Provincial Training Center-Guinobatan (PTCG) existed for almost three decades. It was previously located at J.P. Rizal St., in the poblacion of the Municipality of Guinobatan. First, it was housed in the old building which is now the renovated to become the town’s social hall. The said building has a total area of six hundred thirty square meters (630 sq.m.). The Center existed on the said building from 1989 to 2004 offering four (4) trade areas, namely; General Automotive, General Electricity, General Machine Shop and General Welding.

On the early part of the second millennium, September 2004, the Center was transferred to its present location at Barangay San Francisco, Guinobatan, Albay. It is almost two (2) kilometers away from the town proper of Guinobatan.
