The Nueva Vizcaya Polytechnic Institute is the lone TESDA-supervised Technology Institute in the province of Nueva Vizcaya. The school envisions training and developing middle manpower to meet the needs of the country in general and the community it belongs in particular and develops competencies for appropriate employment.
The school is situated in Barangay Pudi, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya. It is more or less 50 kms from the capital town of Bayombong. It has an area of approximately 14 hectares. Because of its altitude and terrain, the school is overlooking Barangays Poblacion, Mangkatad, Alloy and some parts of Lupa. It is a 10-minute drive from the town proper but a 40-minute hike uphill.
The school started as Kasibu Community High School in 1971 and was renamed Kasibu Barangay High School in 1975. It was nationalized in July 1983 bearing the name Kasibu National Agricultural School by virtue of Batas Pambansa 590 authored by then Assemblyman now Governor Carlos M. Padilla. Since then the school offered purely secondary agricultural curriculum and began to integrate the one-year Agricultural Craftsman and six-month Basic Automotive in the SY 1993-1994. Short-term courses on Dressmaking and Baking were also offered. Due to paradigm shifts, more courses were offered.
Complete rationalization of the Secondary Program had been realized on June 2002 that resulted in confusion because there was Dep-Ed KNAS and TESDA-KNAS. TESDA-KNAS was eventually renamed Nueva Vizcaya Polytechnic Institute by virtue of Republic Act 10823 renaming TESDA-KNAS to its present name “Nueva Vizcaya Polytechnic Institute” sponsored by then Congressman Carlos M. Padilla. It was signed into law on May 18, 2016.
At present, the school offers the following Registered Programs and at the same time as an accredited Assessment Centers in the following qualifications:
