"Pavilion Axonometric"

Consisting of four areas connected by a center pool, this structure is used by university students looking to hide from pouring rain, study under sunlight or the shade, or relax. This pavilion is open to anyone on the designated campus and aims to bring people together in the midst of their busier days.

Created with pencil, this axonometric view displays the four individual sections of the pavilion but also reveals an intricate roof. Higher roofs represent spaces meant for longer use, especially with the provided bench seating for studying or gatherings amongst friends. Meanwhile, shorter roofs reflect quicker uses for students such as escaping sudden rain or making a short cut on the way to class.

"Dorm Room Floor Plan"

This residential space accommodates two university roommates living together at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The floor plan ensures their safety but still encourages connection between occupants. This dorm recognizes the importance of individual bedroom spaces and personal bathrooms to maintain social distancing. Meanwhile, the sharing of a kitchen and living room encourage safe interaction between the students with long walkways and separate seating furniture.

Using the digital software known as AutoCAD, this floor plan displays distinct efforts to provide smooth circulation for both parties and to make certain that each student receives the same necessities of a bathroom and resting space equipped with a desk, bed, closet, and window.

"Figure-Ground Composition"

The arrangement of contrasting fields aids viewers to see an overall figure more clearly. There is a sense of togetherness and cooperation in figure-ground compositions, where the two strikingly different colors, such as this case of black and white, work hand in hand to establish a comprehensible image regardless of one's initial perspective.

Assembled with black construction paper on a white foam core surface, this composition reflects basic organizing principles of asymmetry and movement. There are three square-shaped figures in the center of the project that are cascading from the upper left-hand corner of the board to the lower right. The composition is also separated into four quadrants which uphold a sense of balance diagonally but are nowhere near symmetrical orthogonally.

"Kitchen Perspective"

Placed at an angle where one is leaning over the main countertop, this perspective depicts a kitchen located in a university dormitory shared lounge space. With a large window on the right of the available appliances, students are capable of looking outside to the sidewalks and surrounding buildings while being present in the moment. Considering the kitchen's location in a common room, it makes it significantly easy for students to interact with one another and indulge in shared food-related activities during their hours of relaxation.

Created solely with black charcoal and white paper, this perspective focuses on how light is captured in a given space. The two primary objects in this illustration are easily identifiable by their size. The relationship between the fridge and the window involves light and how this refrigerator acts as the main obstruction of the light reaching other objects in the room. Due to this barrier, the overall image creates a distinct contrast between the large item and anything incapable of overpowering it.

"Library Perspective"

This drawing of a local public library captures the several extrusions within the structure's exterior and emphasizes its grand presence in the community it is located in. This library provides various services including study spaces available for reservations, accessible technology such as computers or printers, and an endless amount of shelves filled with books to read. This structure allows for individuals from all walks of life to come in and take advantage of resources otherwise not obtainable to them while being in the presence of other residents.

Beginning with two vanishing points, a pencil, and eventually pens of varying thicknesses this two-point perspective explains why community members are attracted to the space. Beyond its numerous assets, the structure itself captures one's attention with an intricate slanted roof and areas that bulk out of the building's sides depicting the library as almost overflowing with opportunities.
