Te Aho Matua me te Reo Ingarihi

2.1 He tapu ngä reo katoa. No reira, me whai koha te hunga o ngä Kura Kaupapa Mäori ki ngä reo katoa.

Te reo Māori is our reo rangatira but as Kura Kaupapa Māori students, we recognise and respect all languages. At Year 7, all Te Rito students are invited to learn English as a second literacy all the way through to Year 13.

BRAIN BREAKS - when we work hard we take 10 minutes out of our chairs and close our Chromebooks. Things can get really loud and physical!

Wiki 7 - SPELLING AND READING CATCH UP

Kia ora anō tātou,

We are looking forward to seeing you all in person at kura again. A reminder to all parents to take time to read your emails. Tikanga Pae Ōhiti 2 once again means a new normal for us here at kura.

For those students who did not attend most classes during lockdown - we have CATCH UP tasks for you on our HOMEWORK HUB page. You can get a headstart on these by doing them in your own time.

Ngā mihi ki a kotou katoa. Ahakoa ngā pierenuku o te wā, kua eke panku tātou i raro i te haumarutanga o te whānau i nohotahi ki te kāinga.

Tēnā koutou o te Whānau Huia, 2021.

Welcome to Huia English. I have been teaching at Te Rito for 11 years now. I can't wait to share with you my love of words both written and spoken. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy family, films, reading and waka ama.

Click on my photo to join our Google Meet and online class.

See you there!
