Cancellation Policies
Our aim is to see as many folks as we can in a sustainable way. We ask that you to give us a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel, and understand that sometimes that isn't possible. To ensure we can offer our full availability, we charge a $50 no-show fee if we don't receive a heads up at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
What should I expect?
A consultation is a free ~20 minute appointment where you will meet with the provider(s) that you're interested in. This is a space where you can share a little more about what you're looking for in therapy, get a feel for what it might be like to work together, and ask any questions that might help you make a decision around beginning therapy. We ultimately want you to find the care that feels like the right fit and we are happy to support with referrals if something else might fit better!
An intake session can be one to two full-length (50-55 minute) therapy sessions. During the first session(s), you and your therapist might explore your goals for therapy and broader parts of your lived experience. This can include sharing about your interests, your social supports, family, and impactful experiences that have shaped you. We understand that this might be your first time sharing about some of these things so our goal is to find a pace that feels safe and supportive.
Ongoing therapy appointments can be weekly, every two weeks, or even monthly. Sessions look different depending on your provider, your goals, and your support needs. Sometimes sessions can look like slowing down and understanding present-day challenges, expanding into what has been bringing you joy, or finding ways to have a different relationship with past experiences. The direction sessions go is based on what you will find most supportive. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose a direction and we are here to support you through it! You are always invited to provide feedback on how things are going and change the course.
