Breakout Classes in Grade Book

Access Synergy through your SSO Dashboard. 

Breakout classes can be used if your students go to different teachers for content. (Walk to read, walk to math etc…)

From Synergy Home Screen select Grade Book > Grade Book Main:

• Click on 'Manage Classes'. Make sure your homeroom is selected before creating Breakout classes

• Scroll down to 'Staff' section and select the teachers you share students with, click on all that apply then SAVE (make sure colleagues do this for you)

• Click the blue 'New Class' button (create a class name for this class), class type must be set on Grade Book Breakout 

• Select your name and homeroom section under Parent class section, now hit the SAVE button

• On the next screen select students from the other teachers classes, (select all the students needed for the class), then click SAVE

• This class will be found under main 'Grade Book' section
