Sight words- The students will take one final sight word reading test. Please be sure to have your child practice reading all of the kindergarten sight words, which can be found in their BEE binder, or on our website.
Spelling- Since the last spelling list of the year was a bit more challenging, the students had two weeks to study. Students will take their test this coming Friday, May 15.
Library Books- All library books are now due. If your child has any past due books at home, please send them to school ASAP so you do not receive a fine.
Last Homework Packet- The homework packet your child received today will be the last one of the year! We will send home an optional summer work packet and reading fluency passages in the next few weeks.
End of Year Party- The Cholico- Serna family has graciously offered to provide a taco lunch for our students for our end of year party on May 28. The day will be full of fun and here are the details you need to know:
May 28 is also a Lower School ASB sponsored field day. They are asking students to wear bright colored activewear on this day.
Students do not need to bring ANYTHING on this day. We will provide lunch, snacks, water, etc. Please do not send backpacks or BEE binders.

Community Helpers- The kindergarteners are learning about Community Helpers in history. If you are a Community Helper and would like to share about your profession with our students, please sign up HERE. If you already signed up- thank you! Please see the scheduling email, sent to you by Mrs. Kirkendall, to choose a presentation day that fits your schedule.
Kindergarten Promotion- Kindergarten promotion will be at 8:45 on May 29. Each family has received 5 tickets, and everyone in attendance will need a ticket, including infants who do not take a seat. Students go home after the ceremony, around 9:45. If you have a TPS student that will be using one of your tickets for kindergarten promotion, please fill out THIS form, so they can be released at the correct time.
No School- In honor of Memorial Day, there is no school on Monday, May 25.
