Hello families and first graders!

My name is Mrs. Rose, and I am thrilled to be your child's first-grade teacher this year. I am dedicated to creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment where each student can thrive academically and socially.

With a passion for teaching and a love for working with young learners, I am committed to fostering a love for learning in all of my students. Together, we will explore exciting new concepts, build important skills, and discover the joy of education. I grew up in a classic education system with history, geography, Latin, greek, and Spanish, and I am excited to be a part of your child's journey.

I believe in open communication and collaboration with parents and caregivers to ensure each child's success. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year.

I am looking forward to a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and fun with your child in our first-grade classroom!

All about me:

I was born and raised in Germany and moved to San Francisco in 2016. I moved to San Diego in 2019, where I met my Husband Craig. I worked as a bilingual teacher and preschool teacher, and in the last few years, I worked in event and marketing management. I finally followed my dream of becoming a teacher two years ago and taught 1st to 4th grade. I obtained a master’s of education in elementary and a master's in curriculum and instruction during that time, took early childhood classes, and got my Early Childhood Supervisor Permit.

In my free time, I enjoy being outside as much as possible. I love hiking, camping, going for walks, and going to the beach with my husband and Puppy Kylo. I am a huge food person and love to explore new places. I also love to travel and have visited many countries and 34 states so far!

This will be my first year at TPS, and I am still working on our learning environment. If you want to help, classroom volunteers are always welcome, and we love books in first grade!
