Welcome to first grade! We are going to have so much fun together as we learn, grow, and explore through literature, writing, math, science, history, and so much more. We have an exciting year planned, and I can't wait to begin this wonderful journey with you.

You will be amazed by how much your child will learn and grow this year. So, let's buckle up and enjoy the exciting adventure ahead! I am so excited to be your teacher. It's going to be a fantastic year filled with learning, exploring, and making wonderful memories together.

I can't wait to get to know each of you, but first, here are a few things about me!

I grew up in Eugene, Oregon—Go Ducks! Before starting high school, I moved to California. I attended California Lutheran University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Later, I earned my master's degree in Education from Whittier College.

This will be my ninth year of teaching and my fourth year teaching first grade. I truly love helping young learners discover new things, build confidence, and develop a love of learning.

My husband, JJ, is my high school sweetheart, and together we have two adorable Labrador Retrievers named Dixie and River. They certainly keep us entertained!

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be your teacher this year. I can't wait to see all that we accomplish together. Let's make this a wonderful year by working hard, being kind, and striving to win the day each and every day!
