About Ms. Alegria

My name is Lucia Alegria, and I am excited to be your child’s 5th-grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year here at Temecula Preparatory School! 

I was born and raised in Temecula, California. I attended the Temecula School District my whole life. I grew up knowing I wanted to be a teacher. I attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona where I received my Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education. I taught 6th grade my first year and 7th and 8th grade my second year in Arizona. In 2019, I decided to move back to Temecula. I then taught 2nd grade for two years at Springs Charter and now I am excited to teach 5th grade for a third year in a row!

I feel so honored to be a part of this fifth-grade team here at TPS.  We work well together, keep our lessons consistent with each other, and look out for one another's students. Your children are in good hands.  We have so many growth opportunities and exciting educational escapades planned for our fifth graders.  

I am very passionate about the mission here at Temecula Preparatory School, and I look forward to helping students leave a heritage of virtue, wisdom, and knowledge. High expectations and encouragement are keys to my student's success. I hope to instill in my students the desire to be lifelong learners and strive for excellence.

Teaching is my passion, and investing in students' lives is my joy. I am honored to have the opportunity to make an impact on your child's life.  I understand that teaching is not just about imparting education; it’s also about being a mentor and a role model for so many young minds. I strive to give my best to my students each and every day.
