This year our tamariki proudly took part in the annual Mangakāhia Festival, held by our neighbouring school with whom we share strong ties. The event brought together many kura to celebrate culture through kapa haka and Pacific Island performances. Our students were incredible — every student participating in either kapa haka, Pacific Island dance, or both. It was a beautiful day supported by many whānau and our wider community.
Our school gala was a fantastic day with lots of people attending, including visitors from outside the community. Even with the on-and-off rain, everyone had a great time enjoying go karts, bouncy castles, raffles, paintballing, stalls, carnival games, and the gumboot throw. A huge thank you to everyone who helped and supported the event!
Te Horo students had an awesome day at Zone Athletics hosted by Poroti School, joining schools from across our area. The weather was perfect, our seniors shone with outstanding effort and behaviour, and our juniors enjoyed fun adapted events. A great day of teamwork, pride, and participation!
