What happens when a delivery robot gets stopped by a cat? Or a traffic system makes congestion worse instead of better?

Through a week of hands-on exploration, student investigators will discover how technology and AI shape communities, including what happens when those systems don't work as expected.

What Students Will Do

No Experience Needed - Just a Sense of Adventure!

At TECH CORPS, we believe students learn more when they go beyond using technology and begin to understand how it works, why it matters, and how to improve it.

That’s why Smart Cities focuses on:

How systems make decisions

How data impacts outcomes

How bias and gaps can affect results

Student Enrollment Process

Students will be enrolled in Smart Cities camps on a "first-come, first-served" basis after payment is submitted and until all spots are filled. Please note that Techie Camps are made possible through the generous support of different funding partners. As a result, eligibility requirements for participation vary by the program sponsor and host site in each area. Registrations will NOT be accepted if the student does not meet the eligibility requirement(s).

Families will receive email confirmations for their registration, payment, and program enrollment.

Commitment Deposit Policy

To help as many young innovators as possible set sail, Techie Camp uses a $50 refundable commitment deposit to secure a child's spot in the program. Once the registration form is completed, parents/guardians must click the provided payment link and process their $50 deposit. Here's what you need to know about the deposit:

*Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Contact TECH CORPS for more information.
