How can technology help us protect the planet?
Your young adventurer will discover, over a week of exploration, how technology and artificial intelligence can help us care for the natural world.
What Students Will Do
No Experience Needed—Just a Sense of Adventure!
• Work together on hands-on missions and present your solutions at a final showcase
• Explore how scientists study animals and ecosystems using data
• Discover how AI finds patterns in sounds, images, and animal behavior (and why it sometimes gets confused)
• Design solutions that help protect wildlife and communities
At TECH CORPS, we believe students learn more when they go beyond using technology and begin to understand how it works, why it matters, and how to improve it.
That’s why Eco-Rangers focuses on:
• How data impacts outcomes
• How bias and gaps can affect results
• And why human judgment is essential in improving technology
Each Eco-Rangers camp concludes with students presenting their final projects to their parents and peers on Friday afternoon.
Program Notes
Below are additional notes about Eco-Rangers camps:
Each camp consists of 20 rising 3rd-5th grade students and is led by engaging TECH CORPS instructors.
Families are responsible for transportation and food/beverages (unless otherwise notified).
Each camp will run from 9am-3pm (unless otherwise designated).
Student Enrollment Process
Students will be enrolled in Eco-Rangers camps on a "first-come, first-served" basis after payment is submitted and until all spots are filled. Please note that Techie Camps are made possible through the generous support of different funding partners. As a result, eligibility requirements for participation vary by the program sponsor and host site in each area. Registrations will NOT be accepted if the student does not meet the eligibility requirement(s).
Families will receive email confirmations for their registration, payment, and program enrollment.
Commitment Deposit Policy
To help as many young innovators as possible set sail, Techie Camp uses a $50 refundable commitment deposit to secure a child's spot in the program. Once the registration form is completed, parents/guardians must click the provided payment link and process their $50 deposit. Here's what you need to know about the deposit:
If your child completes the program, your deposit will be fully refunded to the original payment method.
If your child registers, is placed on a waiting list, and does not attend the camp, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
If your child does not attend or does not complete the program, the fee will NOT be refunded.
If you do not pay the $50 deposit after completing the registration form, your child will not be placed on the program roster.
*Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Contact TECH CORPS for more information.
