This summer, TECH CORPS will implement its new Tech Quest Techie Camp with middle school students across the country!
Throughout Tech Quest, students embark on a global technology adventure, traveling to virtual “vaults” around the world to unlock challenges. Students design, test, and refine solutions as they investigate data, systems, and decision-making. As they progress through each quest, students collaborate, experiment, and problem-solve, building confidence, technical skills, and a deeper understanding of how technology connects people, places, and possibilities. Each Tech Quest camp concludes with students presenting their final projects to their parents and peers on Friday afternoon.
What Students Will Learn
No Experience Needed - Just a Sense of Adventure!
In Tech Quest, students will:
Crack code challenges
Use sensors to solve problems
Explore global tech vaults
Design smart systems with micro:bits
Earn skill badges & mission stamps
Keep their micro:bit at the end of the week to continue their tinkering
Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, students will learn fundamental coding concepts, problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in using technology to bring their creative ideas to life.
Program Notes
Below are additional notes about Tech Quest camps:
Each camp consists of 20 rising 6th-8th grade students and is led by engaging TECH CORPS instructors.
Families are responsible for transportation and food/beverages (unless otherwise notified).
Each camp will run from 9am-3pm (unless otherwise designated).
Student Enrollment Process
Students will be enrolled in Tech Quest camps on a "first-come, first-served" basis after payment is submitted and until all spots are filled. Families will be notified via email. Please note that Techie Camps are made possible through the generous support of different funding partners. As a result, eligibility requirements for participation vary by the program sponsor and host site in each area. Registrations will NOT be accepted if the student does not meet the eligibility requirement(s).
Families will receive email confirmations for their registration, payment, and program enrollment.
Commitment Deposit Policy
To help as many young explorers as possible set sail, Techie Camp uses a $50 refundable commitment deposit to secure a child's spot in the program. Once the registration form is completed, parents/guardians must click the provided payment link and process their $50 deposit. Here's what you need to know about the deposit:
If your child completes the program, your deposit will be fully refunded to the original payment method.
If your child registers, is placed on a waiting list, and does not attend the camp, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
If your child does not attend or does not complete the program, the fee will NOT be refunded.
If you do not pay the $50 deposit after completing the registration form, your child will not be placed on the program roster.
*Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Contact TECH CORPS for more information.
