Research:
My research interests are in algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, data science, mathematical modelling and optimization theory. Specifically, I work on local monodromy, isolated singularities and its Milnor fiber, holonomy maps, ideals associated to graphs, positive characteristic, programming problems, persistent homology, time series and topological classification.
Institution:
I belong to the Sciences Department of the Engineering and Science School at the Tecnológico de Monterrey
About me:
I am from Nuevo León, México. It is a city in the northeast of México. I did my undergraduate studies at the program of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. I obtained my doctoral degree from CIMAT under the supervision of Xavier Gómez-Mont in Guanajuato, a small and beautiful city at the center of México. It was lovely to come back home and start teaching at my alma mater. I met my husband in Monterrey. I have a full time position as a faculty member of the Science Department of the Engineering and Science School at the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Besides pure math, I enjoy learning about other topics in sciences, for instance applied math and coding. I also love dancing, traveling, practicing sports --like basketball, ice hockey, hiking, biking, skating and roller hockey-- playing the piano and singing karaoke. I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
