Outreach has always been a huge focus for our team. We try to do a few outreach activities every month, not only to make our team better known but to inform our community about FIRST®.
2025/2026 Outreach
Already this year, Charles and Ryan set up an informational booth at our local hardware store to talk to community members about FIRST®. A few people stopped by and talked to Ryan and Charles, intrigued about our old robot, Jax, and about the program of FIRST®.
At the Lincoln Electric Board Meeting, the E-Hackers and Lazer Sharks combined forces to present FIRST and the Eureka Robotics Teams to the community.
2024/2025 Outreach
Ryan and Charles volunteered at the FLL Qualifiers, and were able to talk about FIRST® and get Middle-Schoolers interested in FTC. We took our bot, Jax, and showed him off to everyone who came by our table. Everyone showed great interest, and we are hoping to do this again.
This year, the entire E-Hackers team hosted an Open House at our Robo-Den. We invited everyone in our community to come by and learn more about this year's robot game, along with the values of FIRST®. Many people said they knew of FIRST®. but learned a lot more. We are hoping to do more events like this in the future.
E-Hackers also volunteered at FLL state at MSU Bozeman! We were able to show off our robot, Jax, and give a quick presentation about FTC (First Tech Challenge).
Along with presenting to FLL, we also met up with the local Girl Scouts and let them build and program FLL bots. It allowed use to talk about the engineering process that goes into designing a robot.
