Crystal Bridges' Evening for Educators is a favorite annual event in Northwest Arkansas. Area teachers gather in the beautiful Great Hall to share food and drink before guided tours with museum partners. It's a night of connection, celebration, and inspiration, and it's one of the many ways Crystal Bridges supports our schools.
This year's event featured a tour of the Hank Willis Thomas exhibition All Things Being Equal... Thomas draws on sports, advertising, politics, and popular culture to address social justice and civil rights through a variety of mediums. We hope you'll have a chance to view this thought-provoking exhibit. There's even time to organize a field trip that includes lunch and reimbursement of up to $250.00 per class.
At this year's Evening for Educators, we shared our printable Empathy Calendar and a lesson excerpted from our African American Perspectives series, "Code-Switching with Hank Willis Thomas’ Zero Hour". Zero Hour is a work in Crystal Bridges permanent collection and a favorite for our students. We hope you'll check it out!
