Geodes

The documents below show the alignment between Fundations units and Geodes texts. 

Teachers should use these documents to help them select appropriate texts to use with students in small group reading instruction.

The buttons below are links to recommended lesson planning templates for Geodes instruction. 

Note that Wordless Picture Book and Sound Search Books are designed to be used during kindergarten Fundations unit 1 only. Once kindergarten students begin Fundations unit 2, they should be ready for Duet books (see alignment documents linked above).

The document below is a protocol teachers can use to group the students in their class into Geodes groups based on instructional needs.
