The “CATALYST STUDENT” project by Teach for Mongolia empowers rural students through training in climate change, environmental protection, sustainable development, and entrepreneurship. Students work in teams to design and implement projects that create real solutions for challenges in their local communities.

students have participated in the project so far
Registered students engage in hands-on, project-based learning focused on climate change, desertification, and project design. Through interactive sessions and practical experiments, they explore real-world issues and develop the skills needed to turn ideas into actionable solutions.
Students form teams of up to five members to research and design solutions for environmental challenges in their local communities. Each team pitches its project idea and has the opportunity to receive funding to bring their solution to life.
Funded teams work with a mentor teacher to implement their projects over six weeks of the period.
The program concludes with a two-day Youth Conference in Ulaanbaatar, where student teams participate with all expenses covered. During the event, students present their projects, celebrate their achievements, and connect with partner organizations.
