Empowering Change: Becoming an Anti-Racist Teacher Leader
This interactive virtual workshop aims to guide educators in understanding the principles of anti-racism and how to embody them as teacher leaders in their classrooms and schools. Participants will engage in discussions around their roles in promoting equity, learn practical strategies to implement anti-racist practices, and explore how to foster an inclusive learning environment. By the end of the session, educators will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to lead with awareness and action against systemic racism in education.
The Art of Circulation
This session covers how to strategically circulate during independent student work time, collect data, and how to respond in real-time to collected data. Please bring a copy of a lesson plan that includes 1-2 practice rounds and an “exit ticket” (or end-of-class assessment).
Mastering Classroom Management: Strategies for Consistency, Routine, and Building Relationships
Quarter 1 is over, you’ve built your relationships, you know your content, but there are still days where you feel totally out of control. If this sounds like you, I have been there! In this sessions we will discuss small changes that will have huge impact, creating a productive culture of learning, refining routines and procedures and ways to keep yourself regulated and consistent when things don’t go as planned.
ELA: Finding Small Ways to Close the Gaps
Join this session to learn about ways to incorporate building background knowledge and vocabulary in your daily routines with your students! We will also discuss how to get the most bang for your buck out of read alouds and touch on how to address gaps in phonics instruction. K-5 Teachers
IEP Meetings: Planning After the RTI Process
This session focuses on the steps to take after the RTI process, guiding educators through the transition from intervention to the IEP process. Participants will learn how to use RTI data to inform IEP development, collaborate with families, and set meaningful, measurable goals. If time permits a mock IEP meeting will provide a hands-on opportunity to practice these skills and receive feedback for improvement.
