Housing Guidance
A nice thing about Vegas is you can get almost anywhere Point A to Point B by car in about 30 minutes. This leaves a lot of options open as you are thinking about where you may want to live. Individual housing preferences vary so much person to person, so while we can't give blanket advice, we hope this information will be helpful to you in making your decisions.
The vast majority of our school placements are in one of the following areas, as seen on the map below:
Downtown
Historic Westside
Sunrise (the East Side)
North Las Vegas
There are a few outliers, but in general if you want to be close to schools/have an easy commute, you could select from one of those neighborhoods and/or you can pick a location that’s close to the interstate. Whether it’s the 95, the 15, or the 215, being close to the highway puts you within 20-25 minutes of almost any school in the city, with rare exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are in the process of updating this for 2022. The last time it was updated is 2020 and some information may be out of date. It is likely that the rent amounts quoted have increased since the last update. We will share the updated version as soon as it's available. We also recommend you join the TFA Las Vegas 2023 Facebook group. When current CMs and Alumni have rooms or homes available to rent, this is typically where they will post those.
