Work BASED LEARNING

For more than 46 years, WSC has provided educational, vocational and recreational support / training to individuals with barriers to employment. 

Work Skills in collaboration with W.A.V.E.S are providing structured learning experiences for students either virtually or in-person where allowable in compliance with the school district, federal, state and county guidelines.  These experiences focus on assisting students develop broad, transferable skills for postsecondary education and the workplace.

Our vision is a community that offers opportunity for everyone with the desire to succeed.

Our PAES Lab is an on-site work development lab where students become employees and teachers become employers. We use this lab to assess a student's competitive work potential and interest level, while simultaneously exploring various jobs, using real tools, and developing proper work behaviors in the following five areas: Computer Technology, Construction and Industrial work, Processing and Production, Consumer and Service, and Business / Marketing.
