Hail and Farewell

We bid a fond farewell to our long-time coach and friend Freddy Garcia. He was a successful runner for Tremper and UW-Whitewater, personally trained and mentored by Coach Bradley. He spent the last 18 years as the Tremper Boy's Cross Country Coach and Distance Coach in Track. He will be greatly missed by all, and we wish him great success wherever he goes.

Coach Garcia was on the 1995 team that finished in 11th Place at the The Ridges Golf Course where as an individual he was 21st overall with a time of 16:50. He was also on the 1996 team that finished in 10th Place at The Ridges Golf Course. In 1996 he placed 46th with a time of 16:57.

As a Coach he led the 2002 team to a 3rd place finish in the State, the 2003 team to a 4th place finish, the 2005 team to a 2nd place finish, the 2006 team to a 10th place finish, the 2009 team to a 15th place finish, the 2010 team to a 10th place finish, the 2011 team to a 9th place finish, the 2013 team to a 19th place finish, and the 2016 team to a 20th place finish.

In addition to all this success, Coach Garcia took individual runners to the Wisconsin State Meet including: Mathias Werve in 2004, Sam Sinozich in 2004, Kevin Randle in 2007 and 2008, Brandon Klinkhammer in 2012, and Mitchell Maegaard in 2014.
