In Amanda Jane Cooper’s opinion, your personal character will always matter more than your talent. Her advice: “People say, here’s some advice for you: be nice to everybody because you don’t know who they are and you don’t know where they can get you… no! Don’t just be nice because they can help you, be kind because they're a fellow human being. It’s so important to honor each other’s humanity.”
This scene is from one of the greatest movies I've used to inspire the diverse young men in my charge. If we are to stop the hatred and division seen across our land, then humanity must be able and willing to see and trust the soul of a man which lies beyond the color of his skin.
