The Brass Community School Library Learning Commons services for over 600 students, and we have 9,000 books in our library! In our library, we learn how to use the library as a resource, we work collaboratively to solve problems and embrace reading. We have a full time licensed Library Media Specialist and a half time library aide!
My name is Arlette Leyva. I have the great pleasure of being the Library Media Teacher at the Kenosha School of Language! I was a second grade Dual Language teacher from 1998-2013 and then for the 2013-2014 school year, I was hired as a Librarian. Let me begin by saying that I love my job! My job allows me to share my love of reading and learning; motivate our students to "think outside the box"; and work with students and my peers as we journey through the world of information. I also love scrapbooking, spending time with my family, and finding new ways to challenge my students!
